Jim Rose: If your objective is Japanese reading fluency, or mastery of the essential kanji needed to read a newspaper, you should really have these 3 wall charts. The jouyou kanji are perhaps the most important strategic objective in mastering the language. Once you can see the full set laid out in one place, it will greatly help you focus your efforts.

The kanji are ordered by their principle onyomi reading, and the printing quality is very high, having been printed by a map company. These are the actual charts used in Japanese Junior/Senior High School today.
